Help me grow!

• I can easily be propagated by seeds and cuttings. I am quite an easy plant to grow and I do germinate quickly. Seed sowing must be done when the temperatures are warm.
• I prefer well-lit to lightly shaded sites with well-draining and moderately fertile soil.
• Prune and fertilize me ideally in the spring season.
• When I grow beyond the limits and the current pot does not provide enough space for the roots to spread out, re-pot me with fresh soil and some fertilizer.
• While re-potting me, try not to disturb the roots. Avoid any drastic change in the provided environment otherwise, I may get stressed.
• Fertilize me only with an organic fertilizer.

1. How do I reproduce?
   My plant seeds are usually dispersed by wind or animals. In order for me to create seeds, I must be pollinated.
   
   
2. Why do I shrink?
   In response to touch, I retrieve all the water from my leaves which makes the cells present in my leaves shrink. After some time when I release back some water, the leaves retain their normal position.
   
   
3. Is it good to have me at home?
   I am a plant with excellent ornamental value and can be placed in brightly lit areas of your home. I am a multi-purpose plant and am much more than just a sensitive plant.
   
   
4. Am I safe to pets?
   Yes, I am non-toxic to pets.
